The first round has been played. When nigiri, players choose color, due to the unusually high komi of Ing rules.

opening ceremony

The opening ceremony was held on Casa Asia. There were short speeches and greetings from :

    Menene Gras, director of Culture and Exhibitions of Casa Asia
    Mikami Masaru, honorary president of the Spanish Go Association
    Yang Yuchia, executive manager of the Ing Foundation
    Oleg Gavrilov, EGF vicepresident
    Marc Gonzalez, WYGC coordinator

Finally, all participants arrived. Due also to visa and plane reservation issues, the Russian players missed (and forfeited) the first round.

Unfortunately, and for very unclear reasons, the Spanish Embassy in Kyiv denied the visa to Bogdan Zhurakovskyi. He has had to be replaced by Spanish player Òscar Anguila.

Basically it contains the same information as the web, and has the pictures of participants and guest officials. It is bilingual Catalan / English, except on pages intended for local passers-by / press or players.

A printed copy can be mailed under request to wygc@aego.biz.

Please note that the schedule of the first day (Monday 22nd) has changed a little bit. It is still subject to small variations (for non-playing activities only) on Friday and / or Thursday, due to some events that are being scheduled.
